Two teenagers have been arrested after a man was attacked and knocked unconscious.
Two 17-year-old boys have been arrested after the assault in Newland Street, Witham, at around 1.30am today (Saturday, June 16).
Police were called to a disturbance outside the Red Lion pub involving a group of people during which a man, aged in his 20s, was assaulted and knocked unconscious.
He was taken to hospital with fractures to his face.
After reviewing CCTV, police arrested the teenagers, from Witham, at around 3.40pm on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.
They remain in custody for questioning.
Police are continuing to appeal for witnesses, CCTV and dash cam footage.
