A pre-school has thanked the community after receiving donations towards two special projects.
Kelvedon and Feering Pre-school, in Docwra Rd, Kelvedon, received a £500 from councillor John Elliott.
The money was donated as part of Braintree Council's community grant scheme and will be used towards the purchase of six new tablets for the children.
Another £500 has also been donated to the pre-school by Kelvedon Community Association, which has been put towards furthering the development of the centre's new sensory room.
A spokesman for Kelvedon and Feering Pre-school, said: "There has also been huge progress in the development of the sensory room and it is already being enjoyed by the children.
"It is a wonderful space where small groups can go to relax and take part in activities more suited to their individual needs.
"It is hard to believe just a couple of months ago this was a shed."
