A man has been released under investigating after a crash in which a motorcyclist was killed.

Dan Bellingham, 31, died after a motorbike and a Nissan were involved in a collision along Glebe Avenue, Braintree around 11.20am on Saturday, May 12.

The motorbike was travelling north along Glebe Avenue with a Subaru car when it was involved in a crash with the Nissan near Stanes Road.

A 27-year-old man, believed to be the driver of the Subaru, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop for a collision, and failing to report a collision.

However police have now released him under investigation.

After the crash, the 43-year-old female driver of the Nissan, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

She was also later released under investigation.
