FOUR new business units are being built as part of plans to help firms grow.

Work on the buildings on Springwood Industrial Estate in Braintree is due to finish in July and will be flexible so companies can fit them out to their own requirements.

As part of the same project, a 40-space car park is being built for the conference room facilities at Braintree Enterprise Centre.

Tom Cunningham, Braintree councillor for economic development, said: “We’re very pleased to be investing in businesses in our district because the better businesses perform the more jobs they provide and the better the impact on our economy.

“Businesses have told us they can’t get this sort of commercial space which allows them the chance to grow their business.

“They will soon be ready and will be home to some of the districts’ up-and-coming businesses.”

James Neill, managing director at Jamtech Solutions, said: “We are a relatively new business founded last year but we are rapidly growing.

“Having access to these new bigger grow-on units will mean we can continue to grow in the Braintree area which is good news for our local customers.”
