A team of daredevil fundraisers from Witham are taking on the fastest zip wire in the world to raise money for the air ambulance.
Nadine Rudd, Tina and Martin Townsend will be flying down the wire, which is also the longest in Europe, in Snowdonia National Park, Wales, to raise money for Essex and Herts Air Ambulance.
After a successful 24-hour dartathon last year with their team Darting Doris, Nadine and Tina chose to support the charity again in 2018.
Tina said: “This year we wanted to do something a little more out of our comfort zone, so a few wines later we were somehow booked to do our very best superman impressions while zooming head first down a mountain at Zip World.
“This is going to be a massive feat for the three of us as none of us are too good with heights so we really need your support.
“We have never personally had to use this vital service, however we, and many of you, will know people who have or maybe have needed to use the service yourself.”
