Temple at War will be returning to the fantastic setting of Cressing Temple Barns on May 12 and 13.

Since opening its doors in 2015, Temple at War has rapidly gained an outstanding reputation for the high quality re-enactment on display and is now known throughout Europe as one of the best Military events to attend.

The Essex event will showcase the best and largest Annual Living History gathering in the UK depicting the last 100 years of Military History.

Over the May weekend over 900 authentic re-enactors who will portray characters to enthral both young and old will be gathering.

At the show, you can expect to find spectacular military vehicles, atmospheric 1940s entertainment, explosive full battle displays and collector opportunities amongst a wide range of vintage and militaria items - something for everyone.

There will also be plenty of choice for refreshment, with high-quality food stalls.

The show is unique in its range of signature attractions, ranging from bayonet-practice sessions and German woodland encampment, to thrilling battle reenactments and the deactivation of a Second World War bomb.

The event is also important in supporting charity, as it raises money for Help for Heroes, Save our Paras and the Royal British Legion.

This year, to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the end of the First World War, the event will be raising money for the renovation of the Cressing Village War Memorial, which will be 97 years old on May 8.

A donation gift option has been launched on the Temple at War webpage www.templeatwar.co.uk for anyone wishing to make a kind contribution in support of the local Essex Community Landmark.
