FINED: Shamik Suryakant has been fined after trading outside Witham Station without a licence
A man has been ordered to pay £1,800 after selling from a stall outside Witham Station without a licence.
Shamik Suryakant, 45, of Glebelfield Road, Hatfield Peverel, was charged with four counts of street trading without consent relating to dates in August and September last year.
He was due to appear before Chelmsford Magistrates Court on Thursday but did not attend.
In his absence, Suryakana was fined £1,000, and ordered to pay £700 in costs and £100 victim surcharge.
