Braintree's biggest doctor's surgery has been forced to close due to an issue with its water supply.
Church Lane Surgery, in Church Lane, Braintree, has closed to the public this morning.
Surgery staff will be contacting all patients with appointments.
Church Lane Surgery has more than 12,000 patients.
A spokesperson for Virgin Care said: “Church Lane Surgery is closed today as there are issues with the water supply to the college building.
"We’re working with our landlords to resolve the issue as soon as possible. Anybody with an appointment today will be contacted by one of our doctors and triaged to ensure they are able to access support and to re-book appointments as soon as possible.”
