Jobseekers are being invited to a free employment fair in Braintree.

The event, organised by Braintree Council and Job Centre+, is open to residents across the district and from further afield who are looking for work or a change in careers.

Information on hundreds of job opportunities in industries like care, leisure, engineering and retail will be available.

Careers experts will also be present and available to give advice to job hunters.

Tom Cunningham, councillor responsible for economic development, said: "The job fair has been running for three years now and have been going from strength to strength.

"We’ve seen many employers fill a range of positions and this year will again see plenty of job opportunities for residents.

"I’d encourage anyone wanting a new job, a change in career or are returning to work to come along.”

Last year, more than 450 people attended the successful event.

This year's fair takes place at Causeway House, in Bocking End, Braintree, on Saturday, March 17, between 10am and 2pm.

Free parking is available.
