A new awards ceremony will recognise the unsung heroes within Witham's community.
Organised by Witham Chamber of Commerce, 12 awards are set to be presented to members of the public at a special ceremony on Monday, February 12.
Winners have been nominated by other residents, with Witham MP Priti Patel and District Commander Craig Carrington set to present the awards.
Witham Chamber member Jodie Barden has been instrumental in organising the awards.
She said: "We asked for nominations from the public of anyone in the community that has gone above and beyond to help out.
"We are hoping it will become a yearly event, you hear a lot about the bad that happens in the town but it would be nice to share a bit more about the good."
The awards evening takes place at The White Hart, in Newland Street, from 6pm on Monday, February 12. A buffet will be provided.
If you are interested in attending, please contact the chamber on info@withamchamber.co.uk.
The Witham Safety and Community Awards are being run in conjunction with Witham Neighbourhood Watch.
