A new support group for anyone affected by the most serious form of skin cancer is launching at Broomfield Hospital.
On a monthly basis, starting on Thursday, February 1, melanoma sufferers, relatives or friends are being invited to meet at the Helen Rollason Research and Development Centre at the hospital.
Guest speaks will be invited on a regular basis and members of the skin cancer teams are also set to be there to give advice advice and to brainstorm about how to raise awareness of the condition.
One of the organisers Anne Rayment said: "It is so important to get together and talk listen and share , this cancer is isolating for the sufferer it is not well known."
Sessions will start at 6pm and take place on the last Thursday of the month after the first meeting.
