An excellent tribute to the late, great David Bowie will roll into town in the second week of February 2018.

Bowie Starman, theatre star Michael King's epic tribute act, will perform at the Braintree Arts Theatre on Friday 9 February.

Masquerading as the world-famous musician in all of his guises, from Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane to Major Tom and The Thin White Duke, King perfectly captures the essence of Bowie's persona, as well as his infectious musical talent.

With a vastly talented band to back him up, King performs all of Bowie's classics, of which the list could go on forever, but including in particular: Rebel Rebel, Life on Mars, China Girl and Let's Dance.

Bowie Starman, so high is its authenticity, is a show that will evoke your sense, being a rollercoaster of emotion and a truly elite tribute one of the very best musicians of his era. The show includes various costume changes as well as audio-visual footage on a big screen; King and his band go to a great length to ensure their audience are impressed.

During his long career, David Bowie won four BRIT Awards, an Emmy Award, six Grammy Awards, 11 NME awards and many others - as well as having been awarded the BRIT Award for Outstanding Contribution to British Music in 1996.

To take on the work of such an artist is no mean feat - so to reproduce his work live on stage with stunning realism and utter professionalism is a real feather in the cap of Michael King and his band - their show in February is not one to be missed!

Tickets for the 130 minute performance are priced at £22 each and are available by calling 01376 556 334, or on the venue's website at www.braintreeartstheatre.com.
