A renowned blues band are bringing their latest tour to Witham Public Hall.

After a successful headline show last year, The Blues Band are returning to the stage on Friday.

The band was formed in 1979 by Paul Jones, former lead vocalist and harmonica player with Sixties favourites Manfred Man, and Dave Kelly, a singer and slide guitarist who has performed with some of the genre’s biggest names in the past - including Howlin Wolf and John Hooker.

The band’s first album was a bootleg after they struggled to pick up interest from any mainstream record labels.

But after endorsement from BBC Radio 1 presenter Simon Bates and other DJs, the band soon built up a following and have gone on to release 20 live and studio albums in the years which have followed.

The longevity achieved by the band has seem them grow into true British legends of blues rock meaning this concert is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Tickets are bound to go fast for the crowd pleasing event.

The Blues Band perform at Witham Public Hall on Friday, December 15.

Doors to the venue open at 7.30pm, with the show beginning at 8pm.

Tickets cost £20 each and are available from the Visitor Information Centre at Witham Town Hall, in Newland Street.
