A funeral director has kindly donated over £30,000 to children in need of private health treatment.

Daniel Robinson and Sons, who are based along Manor Street, Braintree, have passed £12,000 to Aiden, Summer and Lyncoln.

All three were selected as beneficiaries due to their need to have ongoing intensive physiotherapy which is not funded on the NHS.

The children attend Kids Physio Works where they are receiving treatment which helps them with everyday activities.

Daniel Robinson and Sons was able to raise the £36,000 when they hosted their annual golf day at Colne Valley Golf Club earlier this year.

Representatives from the funeral directors were on hand to pass over the cheques to the three children during a presentation evening held at the end of November.

Braintree assistant manager Louise Keeble said: “It is so humbling to see these three children working so hard. They are all real characters and with their determination they will achieve their goals.

“We would like to thank all the golfers that took part in the day and everyone who supported us to make this possible.

"Together we will make a real difference to these childrens' lives."
