HULLBRIDGE Sports will travel to Tring Athletic in the fourth round of the FA Vase.

Sports were 3-2 winners against Enfield 1893 on Saturday and will now face another away tie at this stage of the competition on January 6. The Spartan South Midlands Premier Division side are currently second from bottom, but beat leaders Berkhamsted in the third round on Saturday.

Great Wakering Rovers manager Iain O’Connell says his side must remain focused after they were knocked out of the FA Vase at the weekend.Rovers were beaten 2-0 by Cogenhoe Town on Saturday.They host mid-table Woodford Town in the Essex Senior League tonight bidding to get over their disappointment, while victory could lift them into second place.

And O’Connell says Rovers must remain vigilant.

“We missed two glorious chances on Saturday and were sunk by two sucker punches,” he said. “We now have to concentrate on the league and stay positive.”

Rovers have signed Chelmsford City’s Louis Yuill and Tilbury goalkeeper Louis Hawes. Southend Manor welcome Hackney Wick in the Errington Challenge Cup looking to respond to consecutive 4-0 drubbings. And manager Adam Peek says he expects a better attitude.

“It was an awful performance,” said Peek. “The team had a poor attitude and we need to regroup.”
