A man from Dunmow has appeared in court charged with three attempted burglaries and driving offences which took place in Colchester.
Shane Smith, 26, of Gypsy Lane, Little Dunmow, appeared at Colchester Magistrates Court today, where he pleaded not guilty to the attempted burglaries.
Smith, pleaded guilty to drink driving, careless driving, driving a motor vehicle without a MOT or insurance.
He will next appear in court on February 2.
On Wednesday, August 30, police received reports of attempted burglaries in Ponders Road, Bergholt Road and Sunnyside Road, Colchester, between 12.30pm and 1.30pm.
Police then arrested a man in connection with the attempted burglaries on Friday, October 13, after police received reports that a vehicle had crashed into a parked car in Colchester High Street.
