“I am pleased that we were able to offer an opportunity to access information which helps protect older people against crime and accidents inside and outside of the home.”

A range of other organisations were on hand throughout the day to answer questions and provide information about health and wellbeing services.

Guests were treated to a tea dance demonstration and took part in seated exercises provided by Greenfields Community Housing.

Councillor Tattersley, responsible for health and communities, said: “We are thrilled that so many people were able to attend such an important event for our residents who may not be able to reach all of the services that are available to them.
