A reunion is taking place for employees of Braintree's lost industrial powerhouses.

Braintree Museum is hosting several talks on the history of industry in Braintree, focusing on the influence of Lake and Elliot, Courtauld and Co and Crittall Manufacturing.

All three companies were central to the development of the town as an industrial centre of the region, and thousands of members of staff would have been employed by the three companies over the years.

The talks take place on Tuesday, October 17, between 3pm and 5pm, and are free with the price of entry.

Talks will be delivered by Kevin Dodman, Bill Lake and Claire Willets.
