A man has died after his vehicle reportedly left the road and collided with a tree in Great Dunmow.
Police are appealing for information after the incident, which took place on the B184 Dunmow Road, close to the junction at Mountain’s Farm Road, Dunmow, at around 1.30am this morning.
The East of England Ambulance Service sent an ambulance, rapid response vehicle and ambulance officer to the scene.
However the man was declared dead at the scene by ambulance staff.
The road was closed whilst forensic recovery took place, but has now reopened.
No other vehicles were involved in the collision.
