IF you think you've got the brains to take on London's best quizzers, make sure you pop along to the first ever edition of the Essex Brain of Brainwave Quiz.

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the opening of the children's charity therapy centre in Newland Street, Witham, the charity is hosting a quiz with a twist on Tuesday, October 10, at Benton Hall Golf and Country Club.

At the same time as the Essex Brain of Brainwave Quiz, the London Braintree of Brainwave Quiz will take place at The Forge Bar, in Bank.

There will be a live leaderboard throughout the night, concluding with the winning team from each venue facing off to find the ultimate champion.

Gerry Gould, community manager for Brainwave, said: "We really want these quizzes to be a fun event and we are fortunate to have the guys from Lambert Chapman LLP Accountants supporting us as Quiz Masters at both events.

"I cannot believe how fast the time has flown and that we are now celebrating our tenth anniversary of opening in Witham.

"We have been very fortunate with the support that has been offered to us over the years from local people and businesses and we hope this will continue as we do not receive any government funding for our therapy service that we offer to the lovely children we see with disabilities and additional needs.

"We would like as many teams, couples or individuals as possible to join us in making these quizzes a success in our special year."

The evening's events will be rounded off with a raffle. Tickets cost £12.50 per person and teams can consist of up to six people.
