From Ghostbusters to grizzly bears, hundreds of dressed up racers took to Finchingfield to run through the river and down pints of beer.

The village three legged race returned for its 154th outing, proving as popular as ever.

The quirky race sees villagers dress up, before racing around the village drinking at all three pubs, before crossing the pond twice without using the bridges.

To make things even more difficult, the streets and river banks were lined with youngsters hurled water bombs at racers.

Money raised will go to FincheYouth Activities. who are in the process of raising funds to install a brand new multi-use games area in Finchingfield.

Also on Saturday, were two children’s races as well as stalls, food, drink and music.

With the event continue to grow in popularity, it will return next year.
