Odeon Southend are giving you the chance to see a midnight screening of the classic horror film It this week.

If you have coulrophobia - a fear of clowns - this is one film you probably will not be going to watch. The brave however, can watch a midnight screening taking place at 12.01am on Friday September 8.

It, a 2017 American supernatural horror film based on Stephen King's 1986 novel of the same name, has been terrifying readers for decades and might be just one reason so many people have a fear of clowns, myself included.

The film tells the story of seven children in Derry, Maine, who are terrorised by Pennywise, the evil clown, only to face their own personal demons in the process.

Rotten Tomatoes, a popular film review site currently rate the film at 89% with the Critics Consensus saying: 'Well-acted and fiendishly frightening with an emotionally affecting story at its core, It amplifies the horror in Stephen King's classic story without losing touch with its heart.'
