A FAMILY which runs outdoor film screenings is celebrating a year of success.

Spectrum Screen Events, which hosts screenings at unusual locations, is run by the Hill family from Earls Colne.

They specialise in renting out unusual locations and the immersive experiences have been so popular they are looking for more opportunities.

The business includes parents Victoria and Tony Hill with their three boys Tom, 11, Ben, 10, and Jack, aged seven, all helping out.

Mrs Hill said: “This time last year we both went full time into a family business which we all love.

“We rent out unusual places around communities and then show films which friends and families can enjoy.

“We really enjoy our business as we’ve gone all over.

“We’ve done cathedrals, lakes, you name it, and we love it.”

Spectrum Screen Events uses a giant inflatable screen to show their films.

Victoria said:”We wait until twilight. Rather than paying ourselves with the money, we’ve decided to re-invest into a bigger screen.

“We’d like to show more family films and more which are affordable to all.

“We enjoy running a family business, especially an events business, because we are together as a family and “In the future we’d love to have a whole fleet of trucks going across the UK.”

The family will celebrate by returning one year on to show the film Grease at Gosfield Lake.

The anniversary show will take from about 8.30pm tomorrow.
