City banker Ross Farquhar from Braintree sought to break his 25 year single streak on ITV's latest dating show.
Dress to Impress features three competitors who try to win the heart of a fashion conscious singleton by dressing them with £150.
25-year-old Ross had 30 minutes to raid the shops and find the perfect outfit for advertising personal assistant Charlotte, from Brentwood.
His bottom-up approach, starting with a pair of strappy black sandals from Dorothy Perkins, worked in his favour as leggy Charlotte, 24, liked how they looked with a fit-and-flare black dress.

However, the Essex girl, who describes her own work style as "sexy but not slutty" felt the nude tote bag and accessories it came with were a bit too much.
So did he leave with the girl or is he on his way back to Braintree alone?
