Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident where a man was assaulted in Colchester.
A cyclist and a black Ford Galaxy were in collision in Endsleigh Court at the junction with Lockhart Avenue.
It was reported the cyclist was then assaulted.
A 60 year-old man from Colchester has been arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released under investigation.
Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or seen either the car or cyclist prior to the incident taking place.
It happened at around 5.45pm on Wednesday, August 23.
