HUNDREDS of dogs descended on Great Notley Country Park for the return of a popular pooch show.

The Greyhound Walks and Family Dog Show took place at the country park on Sunday.

The event, run by charity Greyhound Walks, has grown in popularity in the ten years since it started and there is more on offer now than ever before.

Stalls selling pet food and accessories and foods were on offer as well as fun rides and children's entertainment.

Visitors could also try out some different foods with stalls offering everything from homemade cakes to barbecue grub.

Several greyhound rehoming kennels from across the region also brought along some hounds looking for their forever homes.

There were three show rings throughout the day, two for greyhounds and one for any breed.

Greyhound Walks is a charity set up to promote awareness of retired greyhounds as family pets

Eve Regelous, from Greyhound Walks, said: “From the feedback we have had on our Facebook page it was absolutely amazing.

“People loved the show. We have got a new team at the helm and there were some significant changes.

“There were lots more people there and the beautiful weather helped.”
