A shopping centre has launched a free pop-up cinema for families.
The BFG, The Goonies and Trolls will all be making an appearance at Newlands Shopping Centre, in Witham, from August 5 to September 2.
Every Wednesday and Saturday at 10.30am and 2pm, the centre will be reeling out a programme of family favourites from Steven Spielberg’s 1985 classic to last year’s blockbusters.
Movie lovers will be able to enjoy screenings in between shopping trips from the unit opposite New Look in the centre.
Centre manager Lorne Campbell said: “We know keeping kids entertained all summer can be a challenge and sometimes expensive.
“Our pop-up cinema is a great way for families to break up their shopping trips and enjoy an immersive cinema experience.
“With scenes of the truffle shuffle, wizzpopping, snozzcumbers and all-singing, all-dancing trolls there’s going to be something for everyone.”
Family-friendly films on show include: The BFG, The Goonies, Trolls, The Jungle Book, Pete’s Dragon, Secret Lives of Pets, Inside Out, Finding Dory, Angry Birds, Ninja Turtles, The Storks, Kung Fu Panda 3, Ice Age Collision Course, Robinson Crusoe, The Good Dinosaur, Zootroplis, and The Peanuts Movie.
