EXPERTS will be showing off their specialist woodworking skills at Cressing Temple Barns next month.

The European wood working show, which will feature works of art and skill from around the continent, will take place on Saturday, September 16 and Sunday, September 17.

Demonstrations on offer will include wood turning and wood carving from contributors from as far as Germany and Finland.

Workshop machinery, used throughout Europe, will also be shown for visitors to see wood working in action.

Organisers said the show will be of interest to hobbyists, enthusiasts and professionals and anyone with an interest in wood working, all of whom are invited.

One regular exhibitor said: “We’ve been coming to the show for the seven years it has been running in Cressing Temple Barns.

“Many people think of it as a a dying art, but this is not the case.

“The show will definitely appeal to families and this is a real family friendly event.

“It is a great educational experience for children to come along and learn what woodcrafters do, and it is just a fantastic day out.”

Tickets can be bought online for £12.50 but entry on the day will cost £15.

No dogs are allowed and parking for the event is free.
