A CAR dealer has stepped in to boost a village football club by sponsoring the new kit of the youth team.

Quest Braintree, a Vauxhall retailer based in Rayne Road, has thrown its support behind Silver End Football Club's under 11s, providing them with 15 brand new kits worth around £700.

James Ayling, sales executive at Quest Braintree, said: "We’re really pleased to pledge our support to the Silver End Youth Football Club’s under 11 team.

"I can’t deny that on a personal level I’m thrilled to be able to contribute to a club that my step-son is involved with.”

Martin Gozzet, managing director at Quest Braintree, said: "It is extremely important to us to show our support to the local community where we can.

"So, with the upcoming season bound to be providing many superb saves and gobsmacking goals, we wish everybody involved the best of luck.

"Our Maldon site sponsors the youth team at Maldon and Tiptree Football Club, and they have renewed their sponsorship for the second consecutive year following its outstanding success.

"We are looking forward to emulating that same success with Silver End, and we can’t wait to get the ball rolling."
