BRAINTREE Tennis Club's 18 and under boys had a dominant win as they played Thaxted at home.

As Thaxted were two players short, Braintree's Tom Bickers and Taylor Legg agreed to play for the visitors in the spirit of fair play.

However, the Braintree team of Michael Norfolk, Jack Parker, Rory Hayhurst and David Hooks proved once again how consistent they have been all season with some superb match play and great serving.

Norfolk and Parker lost their only doubles of the season but made up for it with wins in their singles, with Norfolk in particular having an epic match against his Thaxted opponent.

Hooks and Hayhurst were both successful in their singles and doubles with Hooks achieving the win he needed to move up to the next rating.

Although Bickers and Legg were playing for the opposition, it was good match play experience for them both, but the end result was a 15-4 win for Braintree.
