A TANNING Studio is raising money for a baby girl with a rare chromosome condition.

Great Notley Tanning Temple is holding a raffle for visitors, with all proceeds going to helping Imedla Mower, who is just 26 weeks old, and her family.

The studio is selling raffle tickets at £1.00 a ticket, with all proceeds going to Imelda and her treatment.

Imelda was born weighing five pounds and nine ounces with a rare condition and her parents, Rachel Mower and Mike Clapp, are hoping to raise £15,000 for her treatment.

The studio is giving away creams, stand-up and lay-down sunbed courses as prizes for lucky winners, with a raffle draw on Saturday, which Imedla's Mum Rachel will be attending.

Imedla was born with a chromosome disorder which can't be cured.

The therapy aims to reduce the effects of this on her life with varied physical and occupational therapy with additional aids.

She will need a special buggy, car seat and chair, which isn't available via the NHS.

An hour of therapy per week before she is 3 will cost approximately £13,000.

Tanning Temple manager Debbie Sitton said when she had met Rachel, she knew she had to help.

She said: "Rachel came in to put a poster up, we spoke to her about what she was doing for Imelda and we decided to do something to support her.

"Rachel is a lovely woman and has been so strong.

"We have sold a lot of tickets already and our customers have been very generous.

"We're looking forward to raising money to support her and raise a good sum of money."
