THE final public consultation for Braintree Council’s Draft Local Plan opens this week.
Councillors approved the latest version of the plan at a full council meeting last Monday.
Another public consultation on proposals opens tomorrow at 9am, and closes on Friday, July 28, at 5pm.
This section of the consultation focuses on whether the Draft Local Plan fits National Planning Policy Framework.
In the first section is where residents can comment on the garden community proposals and the second section relates to the sites up for development in the district.
A series of consultation events are taking place:
- Braintree Town Hall on June 20.
- Halstead’s Queens Hall on June 22
- Coggeshall’s St Peter’s Church on June 26
- Kelvedon Institute on June 28
- Witham Public Hall on June 29
- Marks Tey Village Hall on July 1
- Braintree Town Hall on July 5.
A business consultation event will take place at the Essex Golf and Country Club on June 28.
