A TRIBUTE act dedicated to a 60s rock ‘n’ roll icon is bringing his latest show to Braintree Arts Theatre.

Barry Steele is widely regarded as one of the world’s leading vocalists that pays homage to the legend that is Roy Orbison.

He has performed across the globe showcasing both his uncanny similarity in style to the great man and his authentic repetition of the toe-tapping sound he created.

Barry aims to take the audience on a musical journey through time, from the early 60s, right through late 80s, ending with Orbison’s renowned live concert The black and white night.

The show also pays tribute to the time Orbison spent with the Traveling Wilburys, the American rock supergroup that also included Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, George Harrison and Jeff Lynne.

Further adding to the authenticity is a group of fabulous accompanying signers who will celebrate music from other legends who shared a stage with Orbison.

Of course the musicians joining the singers are also extremely talented and a big screen will back up the stage to complete the show.

All of your favourite Orbison hits, like Only the Lonely, Crying and Oh, Pretty Woman are sure to be included.

Tickets for the show on Saturday, June 10, cost £19.
