A KEEN cyclist was frustrated to discover two of his bikes had been stolen by a silent a crook.

Chris Tutton, from Witham, noticed a limited edition bike and another sports bike had been stolen from his garage.

He noticed they were missing from the garage in Cressing Road on Sunday morning, but neighbours said they saw a suspicious man on Friday.

Mr Tutton said: "I left for work at about 6.30am on Friday morning, some young man was spotted by one of my neighbours riding away with a bike.

"It turns out two of them were taken, I didn't know until Sunday afternoon."

He said he had not noticed the bikes were missing as his garage had been dark when he went in there on Friday night.

He said: "He had taken the first bike and then come back for the second one so he must be local."

No damage was caused to the garage, and it was frightening to know someone had managed to get in unheard.

He said: "The fact they managed to get into the garage without busting the lock is quite worrying, I haven't got a clue how they got in.

"I love my bikes so I'm really frustrated.

"It's really disturbing to come into someone's property and not leave a trace."
