A FOLK-ROCK legend is setting off on a tour of Essex’s libraries.
Ray Cooper, former cello, bass and mandolin player with award-winners Oysterband, is playing three acoustic sets this May, one of which is in Coggeshall Library.
Ray said: “Libraries are quiet places full of stories and I invite people to come along and see me on my Essex Libraries Tour where they will certainly hear some fascinating tales.”
The talented musician, who now lives in Sweden, has agreed to donate 10 percent of the ticket sales to support future community events in libraries.
Ray comes to Coggeshall Library, in Stoneham Street, on Tuesday, with doors opening at 6.45pm.
There will be a licensed bar at the show.
Tickets cost £12.50 plus booking fee.
