SCIENCE took centre stage at an infants school last week as children were wowed by endless fun-filled activities.

Pupils at Great Bradfords Infant and Nursery School, on Marlborough Road, Braintree, were introduced to the wacky world of science.

The whole school were treated to an assembly presented by Nitro Neil from Mad Science about solids, liquids and gases.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 grouped together to take part in three practical experiments, looking at rockets, gas inflating balloons and density layers.

As the science theme took full swing, classes tried their hand at rainbow jumping, colour dying flowers, skittle rainbow wheels and spring walks.

A highlight for many pupils was a whole school spaghetti challenge to see who could built the tallest tower that could support an egg.

Activities were put on throughout the week for all age groups.
