A MAN has been fined after producing cannabis in his back garden.
Michael Kempen, of Foxglove Close, Witham, admitted producing the class B drug at Chelmsford Magistrates' Court last Monday.
Kempen, 31, was fined £170, given a year's community order and ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.
He also faced action in relation to his housing tenancy.
