A MAN was reported for drug driving following a road policing operation in Braintree.

Officers were stopping vehicles at the Galleys Corner roundabout and Rayne Road on Tuesday, January 17.

A 41-year-old man from Waltham Cross was arrested and reported for drug driving.

He was given a community resolution for possession of cannabis.

Another driver was reported for being disqualified from driving and having no insurance.

Two vehicles were seized and police spoke to 22 people about using a mobile phones while driving, 49 for wearing no seat belts and 12 for having no MOT.

Two drivers were also found to have no insurance, two people had non-conforming number plates and one person had a tyre tread below the legal limit of 1.6mm.
