A MANUFACTURING company will support two good causes with charitable donations.

The FSE Foundry, on the Springwood Industrial Estate, Braintree, has chosen to support both Braintree Mencap and the Braintree branch of the Salvation Army throughout this year.

On Monday, they started off the partnership by making a £300 donation to each.

Setyres, who are located next door, also donated £125 to each charity after FSE paid to use a section of their carpark whilst an extension of the factory is completed.

David Bisset, FSE Group owner, said: “We have had over the last four or five years a more formal approach to raising money for local causes.

“Every year we choose two charities to support with donations.

“We do not create a lot of money but we have a lot of enthusiasm.”

Serial fundraiser Gary Miller, a furnaceman at the FSE Foundry, said that plans were already in the works for a cooked breakfast fundraiser and a harvest festival appeal.

Robert Davis, captain of the Braintree Salvation Army church, said: "We would like to publically express our gratitude to FSE Foundry and all of the directors and staff for choosing to support Braintree Salvation Army in 2017.

"Through FSE Foundry's generosity we will be able to continue supporting families and individuals living within the Braintree district."
