A TEENAGER has been handed a suspended sentence after admitting having a knife in a public place.
Barnaby Monk, 19, of Dyers End, Stambourne, was charged with having the knife at the BP Service Station in Bradwell on August 25.
At Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on January 9 Monk was given 12 weeks detention at a young offenders institute suspended for 12 months and ordered to complete 60 hours unpaid work.
He was also ordered to pay a £115 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
