A WOMAN was taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition after becoming unwell in Braintree.
The East of England Ambulance Service were called to Saunders Avenue, Braintree, at 10.49am this morning where a woman had become seriously ill.
A rapid response vehicle, an ambulance, the hazardous area response team and the Essex and Herts Air Ambulance were sent to the scene.
After care and treatment from crews, the woman was taken to Broomfield Hospital by ambulance.
Her condition was described as life-threatening.
The ambulance critical care team went with the woman to provide care en-route.
