A TEEN who feels unsettled at school wants to prove to everyone she can work hard.
Em Sadler, 15, from Silver End, is a student at New Rickstones Academy in Witham.
She studies English, maths, science and art but is part of a learning programme that allows her to do two days of work experience a week.
Miss Sadler, from Wood Grove, works at the Rivenhall Oaks Golf Centre, and to prove she is a hard worker she is organising her own charity event.
She said: ""I was a bit unsettled in school, I'm better in work as I like to be active.
"At the golf centre I help with everything such as serving food and working at the bar.
"I wanted to prove my ability by showing people I am capable of organising this event."
The entertainment night will be in aid of Diabetes UK, and the school band at New Rickstones will be playing.
There will also be a raffle and buffet.
Miss Sadler, in Year 11, said: "I want to prove it to both myself and others, it's very stressful but it's going really well.
"I'm really pleased with how it's going and I feel very prepared."
The event will be held on Saturday, February 18.
It will run from 6pm until midnight. Tickets, once they are available, will be £5 in advance or £6 on the night.
Tickets will be available to buy soon.
