A POPULAR coffee bar is re-opening under new ownership.

Panners Coffee Bar, on Panners Parade, Great Notley, is opening its doors to the public for the first time on Thursday morning.

The coffee bar, which used to be Coffee Company, will serve coffee and food during the day, before turning into a cocktail nightspot in the evening.

Leanne Davies, of Queenborough Lane, Great Notley, will be running the business after leaving the wedding company she has worked at for ten years.

She said: “I have lived in Great Notley or Braintree all my life.

“The bar will be for the community of Great Notley.

“It is going to be a nice family friendly place, for children and adults – it is going to be for everybody."

Initially the bar will only be open for food and refreshments during the day whilst the licensing application to serve alcohol is considered by Braintree Council.

But eventually Leanne, 36, is hoping the bar will become a hotspot of activity for the villagers of Great Notley.

She said: “It is all about word of mouth to help draw people in

“We have had quite a good reaction already and I am excited to open."
