A BUSINESSWOMAN is celebrating opening her second store in Witham town centre by the age of 30.

Sophie Kent, Witham, runs Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo-tique and Beauty located on Newland Street.

On Wednesday Sophie held the grand opening of her second store just around the corner in the Newlands Shopping Centre.

Sophie said: “I think we offer something different to what there is here in Witham.

“We are on first name basis with our customers, all of my girls are really nice people and we offer a personal service to our customers.

“We have our regular customers and even ones that come from outside the town just to see us.”

Over the coming weeks the businesswoman, who also runs Holts Butchers with her husband, is planning a major overhaul of her set-up as she prepares for a bright future in the town centre.

The original shop will become a children’s store and the new, larger and completely remodelled store in the centre is going to be a hub for women’s fashion and beauty – with beauty therapy rooms upstairs which will be opening in the coming weeks.

Sophie said: “It is exciting but of course it is nerve-wracking.

“We have designed every part of the building ourselves and it is exactly how I wanted it.

“When you get the reaction we have had it makes it worth it.

“You just have to get people to believe in you, support you and then you can be successful.

“Witham as a town needs people that are willing to come and spend their money in the centre.”

The new store opened at a ribbon cutting ceremony last Wednesday attended by the deputy mayor of Witham JoAnn Williams and the Witham Chamber of Commerce, who have been extremely supportive of Sophie’s business.

Tina Townsend, chairman of the Witham Chamber of Commerce, said: “The expansion of Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo-tique and Beauty is great news for Witham town centre.

“We at the chamber would like to wish Sophie every success with the new shop and also with the original store once it is renovated."
