RESIDENTS of a care home sang out about a new campaign to raise awareness of people with learning disabilities.
Churchfields in Witham is a specialist care home for people with learning and physical disabilities.
On October 21, Mencap launched its new nationwide campaign Here I Am, and residents of Churchfields went out in Witham town centre to promote the campaign, which shows people with a learning disability for all they are and can be.
Keeley Denham, area operations manager for Mencap, said: “I am so incredibly proud of everyone who took part.
“It’s a huge thing to put yourself out there for any of us but these guys did it and loved every minute of it.
“I hope that through talking to people on Friday people’s opinions were challenged and changed.”
