A ROCKSTAR funeral was held in memory of a bouncer who loved to party.

Chase Taylor, who was from Witham, died suddenly on October 5- he was only 33.

His family held a funeral service for him at the Three Counties Crematorium in Braintree on Friday.

They then went on to celebrate his life at the St Nicolas Church in Chipping Hill, Witham.

His mum, Carol, said she wanted to give her son the biggest send-off she could.

She said: "It went really well, he had a fantastic turn out.

"His brother Lance, sister Yasmin, myself and other family members paid tribute to him in church.

"Our aim was to send him off big like a rock star, and I think we achieved it.

"Chase will live on in our hearts, also through his son.

"He was my first born, my friend, my rock and I will miss him always."

She said he had a lot of friends who turned out to show support.

She said: "We wanted to give him a the biggest we could, he knew so many people so it had to be done that way.

"His motto in life was 'live life fast and leave looking good', and he did."

Braintree and Witham Times:

His younger brother Lance shared stories of their childhood during a speech at the funeral.

He said: "When we grew up we hung out- all of this, the memories and the emotions, is why I am able to stand here today and say goodbye to my brother.

"He was my best friend as well- he was my mentor and I hope you see the great things yet to come, Chase.

"I will always miss you and I hope you rest in peace."
