AN Air Ambulance landed in a field in Cressing following reports of a woman suffering "traumatic injuries".
The East of England Ambulance Service was called to Evelyn Wood Road at 9.07am this morning.
They sent an ambulance crew, rapid response vehicle and the East Anglian Air Ambulance to the scene.
A spokesman said: "A woman was treated at the scene, believed to be in her 80s.
"She had a suspected fractured ankle and was sent to Broomfield Hospital via land ambulance for further care."
It is not known what caused her injuries at this time.
