THE ultimate tribute group to one of Britain’s most loved musicians is performing at Braintree Arts Theatre.

Ultimate Bowie pays tribute to the late, great Davie Bowie in all of his shape-shifting musical personas including Ziggy Stardust and the Thin White Duke.

Known for reinventing himself through not just his music, but his iconic and unique fashion sense as well, the star’s death in January this year at the age of 69 touched people all over the world.

It drew tributes from across the globe and several of his most famous tracks rocketed back up the charts in tribute to the singer.

Bowie sold an estimated 196million albums worldwide each one being both critically and commercially successful, making him one of the most celebrated musicians of all time.

His 25th album Blackstar, released just after his death, shot to number one in the charts and was even nominated for this year's Mercury Prize, the most prestigious award in the British music industry.

He is often regarded as one of the influential and creative pop musicians of all time.

Ultimate Bowie pays tribute to Bowie in a show that is visually stunning and vocally impressive.

In the show Ed Blaney takes the spotlight as the man himself and will lead an eight-piece band through tracks from across Bowie’s career including classics like Lets Dance, Starman, Ground Control to Major Tom, The Man Who Sold the World and Heroes.

The band must be supremely talented to cover the range of musical genres that Bowie touched on throughout his career.

There are sure to be costume changes galore as the band travel through time to showcase a career that lasted for more than 50 years and spawned countless imitators.

The show which takes place on October 22 aims to capture the unmistakeable essence and authenticity of a David Bowie Concert which fans, old and young, are sure to relish.
