A SERIOUSLY ill girl had her wish come true as she got to sing in a car with Olly Murs.

Chloe Alliker, from Braintree, has a severe gastric disorder- it means she cannot eat proper meals and gets all her nutrients through her bloodstream.

Singing star Olly Murs, originally from Witham, joined her in a car trip and the pair sang his hit Troublemaker in a Carpool Karaoke-style performance.

Chloe, 12, from Orchard Drive, had her wish granted by children's charity Rays of Sunshine and their corporate partner The Fragrance Shop.

She was able to choose two wishes, which were to go to Center Parcs and sing with the X Factor star.

She had no idea she would have both her wishes granted.

She and Olly Murs pretended to drive around the streets of London as they sang together.

Chloe said: "I was shocked- when I got in the car he said he knew I wanted to do carpool karaoke with him.

"I was really shy and scared- we were speaking about Notley High as I go to the same school he went to when he was younger.

"We sang Troublemaker and an A cappella version of Heart Skips a Beat."

Chloe received a signed photo of Olly Murs two years ago when she was in hospital with her illness, but her mum Gemma said this was a whole different experience.

She said: "To meet him was surreal, it was a dream come true for her and even on the way home she still couldn't believe it.

"This illness has affected her for two and a half years- she cannot eat so everything avoids her digestive system and she gets her nutrients through her blood stream.

"It's a life-limiting condition, and life isn't normal."

Chloe said her experience was an opportunity to have some fun and take her mind off her illness.

The X Factor star, who is an ambassador for Rays of Sunshine, said: “I love being an ambassador for Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity and meeting such brave and inspiring children.

"Chloe’s wish was really great fun and I am so glad we could make it happen. Putting a smile on the faces of children like Chloe reminds me why I decided to become an ambassador for the charity and hope to be involved for many years to come.

"A big thanks to The Fragrance Shop for being such wonderful supporters and making so many children’s wishes come true.”

Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity is holding a charity concert at The SSE Arena in Wembley on Monday, October 24.

Artists who are performing this year include Shawn Mendes, DNCE, and Nicole Scherzinger.
