THERE is something to get everyone giggling as six top class comedy acts perform at the Bocking Village Club.

Braintree based comedy promoters House of Stand Up are bringing the star studded line-up to the Bocking Village Club straight from the London stand-up circuit.

Headlining the evening is Seymour Mace, best known for playing Steve in BBC3 sitcom Ideal, which also starred Johnny Vegas.

He has also played other TV roles in Hebburn and Dave’s One Night Stand, and in 2015 was nominated for an Edinburgh Comedy Award for his show Seymour Mace is Niche as F***.

Also performing will be Marc Lucero, who is television channel Dave’s Leicester Comedy Festival Silver Comedian of the Year.

Musical comedian and singer of silly songs Ant Dewson is also coming along for the ride.

Ant has shared the stage with some of the UK’s biggest comedians, including Michael McIntyre, Russell Brand and Frank Skinner.

The supporting acts are Funny Women Finalist Zahra Barri and one-liner expert Dickie Richards.

The whole evening will be compared by Tony Marrese, one of the finest live comedians on the circuit who loves to take the audience on a journey through his imagination with accents, stories and visual mimes.

A spokesman for House of Stand Up said: “We organise a number of comedy events throughout the year for social clubs, across London and the Home Counties.

“We’re especially proud to be supporting this local event at Bocking Village Club, to help them beat the drum during their 90th Anniversary Year at the hub of their local community and the place of choice to socialise and celebrate.”

The show starts at 8.30pm and tickets cost just £10 in advance or £15 on the door.

There is also an optional pre-show curry available, which will be served from 6pm.

Tickets can be bought online or via the Bocking Village Club via emailing: office@bockingvillageclub.org.
